Kandis Jameson has always been a strong advocate for a healthy, growing, and sustainable community which led her to put her name forward to serve as Mayor. Now in her third term, Kandis dedicates considerable time and effort to the betterment of Hay River
After graduating from Diamond Jenness High School, Kandis worked in progressively senior roles in the field of banking for over 15 years .
Passionate about education and literacy, Kandis served on the District Education Authority for 17 years (10 years as chairperson), the South Slave Divisional Education Council for 10 years, and the local Hay River Board of Education.
